Baking Film || Experimental Photography

Have you ever wondered what happens to film when you stick it in the microwave? I sure have. It turns out microwaving film isn’t a good idea, but it is okay to bake your film. So that’s exactly what I did. Watch the video below or check out the galleries in this post to see what happens when you bake your film in the over.

My baked film recipe:

  • 1 roll of Kodak Portra 400
  • 1 roll of Kodak Ektar
  • 1 roll of Fujifilm Pro 400H
  • Baked at 170 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Baked for 7 minutes
  • Sit to cool for 30 mins
  • Shoot and develop
